The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, launched a new Business Taskforce for Early Childhood at a bank's London headquarters.

The taskforce is "run by business, for business," with major companies attending the inaugural meeting.

The focus is on the importance of early childhood for the health of the economy and society, now and in the future.

Kate was dressed in an ivory blazer and black trousers, looking confident and professional.

Body language expert Darren Stanton described Kate as a powerful businesswoman, keen to impress and passionate about the project.

The engagement was a solo one, demonstrating that Kate can hold her own both personally and professionally.

The companies attending included NatWest, Unilever, and IKEA, among others.

Kate has shown a keen interest in early childhood development and launched the Shaping Us campaign earlier this year.

The Princess has spent the last nine years studying the significance of a child's early years, an issue close to her heart.
