Easiest Way to Burn 600 Calories in 30 Minutes

Posted by Serina Brown on

It’s the beginning of a new year, and like me, many people are on a health kick. With warmer, sunny days on the horizon we are looking forward to shorts and even swimsuit weather! And if you are anything like me, you might look for different ways to sneak in extra ways to burn calories.

Wouldn’t it be great to have the luxury of burning calories in a short amount of time simply by relaxing? Yes, it would. Believe it or not, there is a way. Infrared Saunas.

During a thirty minute session in an Infrared Sauna, you could burn anywhere from 200-600+ calories… just by sitting and sweating. Here’s why:  infrared heat penetrates the skin more deeply than regular heat, and that results in sweating more profusely, which enables your body to excrete a higher percentage of toxins. More sweat = more calories burned. Additionally, studies show that Infrared Sauna use raises your metabolism by 20%!

To show you examples of how many calories you can burn relaxing in an Infrared Sauna versus different activities, take a look at this:

Calories burned in 30 minute activities

So after a long day at the office, come home to your own personal Infrared Sauna (from Planet Sauna, of course) and grab a book or hook up your tunes and relax while burning calories.
